 The Film Volcanic Region is situated between 2 to 3 hours South of Auckland International Airport by road and between 35 minutes to 70 minutes by air travel. We represent a huge, accessible and diverse volcanic region for movie production in New Zealand.
Our climate varies from Whakatane (New Zealand’s highest recorded sunshine hours) to Mount Ruapehu where snow falls from mid autumn (April) to spring (September).
